Rare Authentic, autographed Vintage pencil signature and inscription, "To Marilyn, from, Elvis Presley" on an off-white 8.5 x 11 sheet, documented script cover for The Steve Allen Show that aired on July 1, 1956. The sheet is also signed and inscribed to "Marilyn," by the show's three other guests: Andy Griffith, Gene Rayburn, and Imogene Coca. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, and paper loss from staple to one corner. Elvis’ appearance on Steve Allen's Show was a ratings bonanza, despite the fact that he had received unwelcome publicity for previous television shows on which his performances were considered risqué. Capitalizing on that publicity, Allen toned down Presley's performance by having him sing 'Hound Dog' in white tie and tails to an actual Basset Hound. Imogene Coca and Andy Griffith, also signed as well as announcer Gene Rayburn who became Iconic stars in their own right.
