Description: Featured here is the 1956-D Lincoln Wheat Cent D/D West repunched mint mark. Uncirculated. Strong split serifs can be seen at the top and bottom of the “D” with a strong separation line down the left bar of the mint mark. It should be noted as well that an extra eyelid hubbing can be seen south and east of the primary eyelid counting this coin as a doubled die as well. I searched diligently for the cataloging numbers for this variety and was unable to locate this RPM/DDO. It may be an undiscovered variety at this time as there are literally DOZENS of varieties for this particular year and mint.
