Don't miss your chance to own this piece of fishing history! 1955 –Vintage Mitchell 300 Spinning Reel (SN# 716704 – EARLY NUMBER) – VERY NICE Up for sale is a USED 1955 Mitchell 300 Vintage Spinning Reel in VERY GOOD MECHANICAL AND COSMETIC CONDITION. All parts function as they should. The reel casts and retrieves line properly, the anti-reverse lever works, the drag works well, the reel spins freely, the bail snaps shut, and the after-market handle reels properly and looks good on the reel. All parts seem to be original to this reel with the exception of the after-market handle. This is A great working reel with signs of wear in the form of scratches and \paint chips; this reel is 69 years old; it should show some signs of wear. The paint chips on the black parts of this reel include the frame by the lube port, the frame and rear of the face plate adjacent to the lube port, the foot, the leg, the bail wire, the frame’s edge by the anti-reverse knob, and some scratches and wear on the rotating head; all of the normal wear spots.
