Robert Gustave Michel specialized in prints of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He particularly liked the prints of Toulouse-Lautrec. He also published a number of engravings for tourists who came to visit Notre-Dame. Exhibitions were organized by the Galerie R.G. Michel after the Second World War and were often accompanied by a lithographed poster of good quality: Toulouse-Lautrec (1949, 1954), Friedlaender (1956), then Daumier and Louis Legrand.
