Description: 1951 Men's Elgin 623 Manual Wind Watch This is a beautiful men's Elgin manual wind watch, made in the U.S.A. in 1951 (the serial number F551432 stamped into the movement indicates the year of manufacture). The 17 jewel grade 623 movement has been cleaned and oiled, and the watch is running well and keeping accurate time. The dial is in very good condition, with a few dark spots, some light scratches in the middle section, and some green patina around the edges which can't be seen when the watch is in the case. The 10k R.G.P. (Rolled Gold Plate) case has been cleaned and polished, and shows only light surface scratches and a couple of dings, and only slight gold loss at the hard edges of the lugs. A brand new acrylic crystal has been installed. A brand new black leather strap has been installed. Overall, the watch is in very good condition and ready to wear!
