Description: 1950s US Air Force Rubber Boots - Korean War Military Boots Size 8B USAF. This is a VERY rare and amazing hard to find pair of US Air Force (USAF) or AF Black Rubber Boots and dates back to the 1950s. Incredible condition, they both bear the "Hap" Air Force logo * that was in use from WWII into the 1950-60s. See military specifications for MIL-B-6481. These boots are size 8B. They are in very good vintage condition with what appears to be original laces. * Emblem used by the United States Army Air Forces before it was created as its own military service, the United States Air Force, in 1947. It was named after Henry Harley "Hap" Arnold (June 25, 1886 – January 15, 1950). Arnold was an aviation pioneer, Chief of the Air Corps (1938–1941), Commanding General of the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, the only Air Force general to hold five-star rank, and the only person to hold a five-star rank in two different U.S. military services. Arnold's most widely used nickname, "Hap," was short for "Happy," attributed to work associates when he moonlighted as a stunt pilot.
