Description: This GOWN TOWN dress could easily be worn to a baby shower or cocktail party and playfully playing up the 1950s vibe. Deep pockets, which are my particular favorite. No belt and there wasn’t intended to be one, but if you felt the need, any black or white belt would be perfect. There is a side zipper. It is on the right side and a bit over 12 inches long. Lots of stretch on this dress. The feel is what I want to call taffeta. It is almost what you would expect of a gown, and it is a substantial fabric with no lining, nor does it need a lining. As I mentioned, lots of stretch, and the skirt has plenty of flair. Flare. Swing. This could be your little Orphan Annie dress or costume party dress, just as easily as a cocktail party dress . 17 inches from armpit to armpit in the fitted bodice. The waist is approximately 28 inches around. The skirt from the waist line to the hem is 26 inches. The hem from side to side was too extensive for me to try to measure, but it is adorably full.
