Description: **** Please note we accepted a kind offer for the framed Dicky Valentine Card and removed that from this offering and then re-listed as an 8-card group.. with the price reduced to take this single card sale into account **** A very nice wee grouping of 8 MGM US Movie & early UK TV stars promotional photo-cards as collected by a lady from Wiltshire in the early 1950s. Three with their original posted outer envelope, the collection runs through Errol Flynn, Peter Lawford, Robert Taylor & Bing Crosby to Roy Rogers & Trigger, Richard Todd, Michael Wilding & Elvis. The Bing Crosby & Roy Rogers photos are plain backed but each are in a mounted outer, whilst the small Elvis autogramme (?) is plain backed and standing alone. MGM Stars Robert Taylor, Errol Flynn & Peter Lawford are seemingly US (?) cards sponsored by Blue Bird Stockings and Robert Taylor also has its West Kensington 1950 franked envelope. Michael Wilding's card appears to bear a genuine (?) ink signature to the front and a personal message in pencil to the rear and again is in its original 1950s franked envelope from London which bears a 'Picture Goer' Salon return address. The Richard Todd photos also appears to bear an original (?) inked signature to the front and is still in its original typed address envelope and franked from Edgeware Middlesex in 1952. Alas we are not au fait with British/American 'show biz' autographs (either original or autogrammed) as military is' our bag', so can only go by what we see here before us. Obviously others more versed in the subject will know the score, but please feel free to ask any questions that may arise from this listing (again now minus the Dicky Valentine framed card..!) and we will happily do our best to answer... if we can!
