1950’s IMPERIAL NO. 2 NICKLE PLATED ROLLS RAZOR, ORIGINAL BOX

Description: Imperial No. 2 Rolls Razor in original box. This is the first Rolls Razor that we have seen and owned. We acquired it along with other items in a group of things we bought at auction. We subsequently read up on Rolls Razors and see that there are YouTube videos that offer instruction on how to use it and that there are websites (including a page on Wikipedia) with information on their history and use. This example has the original box, a paper on which are some instructions, and the leather, stone, blade and handle all held in the nickel plated case which has three rows of a Greek key design. This is as found and has not been cleaned up So, as you can see from the photos there is oxidation on some of the metal parts inside and some outside as well. We were able to get one side of the case to open but we were not successful in getting the other side to open. The Rolls Razor was made in England. The name Rolls was chosen by the company to compare the quality of their product to that of the famous cars that bear that name. The case for the Rolls Razor measures 6 inches by 2 3/4 inches. The original box has some wear, stains and surface paper loss. Please examine the photos closely and purchase based on your own judgement as to condition and value. This item is inventory #11,062.
