В поисках материала для своих книг много ездил по Советскому Союзу, стремясь отобразить социалистическое строительство во всей стране. Опубликовал несколько романов и большое количество повестей: «Золотая голытьба», «Турмалин-камень», «Искатели», «Тансык». Писал также для детей («Анютка», «Злые огни», «Дочь лоцмана»).
