1950 R&B Doll Hard Plastic RARE Size 20” NANETTE Origin Iconic Plaid Gown Unders

Description: Thank you for visiting Patra’s Atelier La Fleur de Poupée! Here is an absolutely gorgeous and ICONIC 20” R&B "Nanette." Rarely found in this tall size, in this iconic hairdo and plaid gown! She is all hard plastic and fully jointed. She has a beautifully sculpted and formed 5 part body and drop dead gorgeous face which has bright blue eyes, full sable lashes, painted upper lashes and brows, even cheek blush, and full painted red lips. Her stringing is good. Her glued on mohair floss wig is in original set and is in pig tails pulled up from the sides captured by matching swatches of the plaid of her dress in this iconic hairstyle! Nanette wears her original ICONIC plaid rayon gown with one shoulder featuring a puffed short sleeve and the other is sleeveless but held up by the two plaid straps made of the sand material as her gown, that are tied at her shoukd in a perky bow. This gown closes at the back with original metal square snaps. Her gown is in lovely condition and has no stains, rips or tears. Under her dress is her original full cotton petticoat that has a hoop inside of it. The hoop has been bent out of shape as she’s been in storage for most of her 75 years of life! Her undies are also original and match her petticoat . She also wears her original white leatherette shoes and socks. She has no odors and comes from a smoke free home. I have done nothing to clean or change anything about this doll since she has been in such original condition. Her rayon gown could be ironed carefully on a very low rayon setting, but I’ve chosen to let her be just as she is. I see one teeny spot on her right cheek and a few minuscule wear marks thru her right eye brow. This adorable R&B Nanette is a fine example of the Golden Age of American Dolls and would be an asset to any doll collection. I list her with 2 shipping modes because eBay requires me to do so to be able to offer Ground Advantage! I prefer to send her USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE! I have not cleaned this doll in any way. I leave that up to collectors more currently experienced in hard plastic dolls, as I don’t want to make changes to the doll’s finish. Overall, she is an exceptionally beautiful Nanette doll that displays well and wears her original dress outfit , of gown, hoop petticoat, underpants and sox, including “leatherette” shoes. No odors, no sour milk or hard plastic failure odors or symptoms and from a smoke free environment. Pictures are an important part of the description, so do inspect carefully. As with all vintage items, minor imperfections are expected.
