1950 Czechoslovakia Flag Bread Card Like D135 White Baking UNCUT Bulletin FOLDER

Description: This fantastic weekly bulletin was issued by the WHITE BAKING Co. in the United States during 1950 as an advertising premium for their bread and other baked goods. The back of the bulletin features a card from their FLAGS OF THE WORLD Series. I have not been able to find this series listed in any reference guide including Burdick’s American Card Catalogue. This series was obviously issued in similar manner to the D2 American Airplanes or the D6 American Indian Chiefs Series and other similar series issued by such companies as Krugs and others. The cards were issued in a weekly pamphlet or bulletin form, usually printed on the back page. This series uses the same images as used in the “ National Flags” series listed as D135 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue (although those cards were much smaller and not in a bulletin or pamphlet style). The idea was that the child could cut out the Card from tbe back of the pamphlet. This Card features the FLAG OF CZECHOSLOVAKIA The bulletin measures 4 inches by 7 inches approximately when folded. The bulletin is free from creasing with strong color and relatively nice corners. I have scanned the front cover and the back page fairly large for you to be able to judge condition for yourself (the interior pages are in similar condition). Because I believe that this series was intend to be cut out and collected, and that it is printed on thin paper stock, I imagine that not many survived fully intact and in nice collectable condition. I will be trying to list several EARLY TRADE & TYPE CARDS over the next few days (spread across different categories), including one or two that are unrecorded in any guide, that were put given away with Tobacco, Caramel, Candy, Gum, Chocolate, Bread Coffee Tea Cereal and other products, covering such diverse subjects as Native American Indians , Baseball , Football, Boy Scouts, Ice Hockey, Golf, Presidents of the United States, NCAA and IVY League Colleges and Universities and Circus themes.
