Description: 1948 St Christopher MISSION SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO Car Badge STAMPING DIE RB327 From the archives of The Robbins Co of Attleboro, MA, this listing is for a vintage steel stamping die used to make an auto pin of Saint Christopher for travelers to Mission San Juan Capistrano. The die is dated October 1964 on the side, however the Robbins Company ledger book (see scan) for this S/N R1921 shows it was made as an Auto Pin in April 1948. The 1964 date on this die indicates it is either a duplicate die or a replacement made in 1964 due to damage to the original die. Robbins manufacturing policy was to keep the same S/N on a replacement die but list the actual date of manufacture. The die has maximum dimensions 3 ⅝” x 5 ⅛” x 2 ¼” high with tapered sides. The die weighs 10 ½ lbs and the condition is Excellent. Please look at all the photos and ask any questions. See my other listings. Free shipping is included for USA buyers.
