Description: This is a vintage original Pony Edition of Time Magazine for the week of May 14, 1945. This issue is the Special VE-Day issue commemorating Victory in Europe Day following the end of WWII fighting in Europe. The front cover features artwork by Boris Artzybasheff of American, British and Russia soldiers holding their national flags titled The Big Three - One job done. This magazine is 32 pages plus the covers measuring about 8.25” x 6”. The “Pony Edition” was a smaller format version of the magazine which was made smaller so that it could be more easily transported and distributed to military personnel serving overseas during WWII. This magazine has lots of photos and illustrations and extensive coverage of the VE Day events along with other news of the day. This magazine was reissued by Time in 1995 for the 50th Anniversary of the end of WWII but this is the actual vintage original 1945 Pony Edition of the magazine. This magazine is fully complete and intact with light handling wear and modest toning from age. The original owner was an officer serving in WWII who wrote his name neatly on the upper edge of the front cover. Overall condition is very good. Email any questions. Thanks for looking.
