No. 1864. 8.25" x 8" colorful hardbound cover with tin spiral spine. 26 pages. This highly graphic mechanical book is based on the popular Harold Knerr comic strip. A very novel book features two movable wheel pages, and sliding activity page, and a "pop-up" mid-page spread, all in full color. Remaining pages are full color or 2-color. Note: Bottom movement tab is missing on the page with the alligator, & the Captain's die-cut legs are nearly separated. Despite these flaws, this is a very eye-catching & unusual specialty item for the mechanical / pop-up collector. We consider the condition as GOOD to FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Misc. surface/corner creasing with scattered minor inner page tears (largest tear approx. 1/2"). Litho colors remain bold, bright and attractive. Overall, we feel this scarce book is a very displayable and serviceable example by most standards (see photos).
