Being an account of the most important occurrences in that place from its first beginning to the present time.The Reverend Dr. William Archer Rutherfoord Goodwin (or W.A.R. Goodwin as he preferred) was an Episcopal priest, historian and author. As the rector of Bruton Parish Church, Goodwin began the 20th century preservation and restoration effort which resulted in Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. He is thus sometimes called "the Father of Colonial Williamsburg." This book is in very good condition. Boards are straight with shelf wear/rubbing/chipping along the edges, corners and at the top/bottom of the spine panel. Shelf wear/rubbing to the front/rear board panels as well as along the spine panel. The spine and pages are very tight with strong hinges. Text block is tight within the binding.
