Description: 1940's Kodak Tourist Camera Model f12.5. This is an original 1st generation Tourist, not the more comon Tourist II. Tested but very good working and physical condition. The Kodak Tourists were the last in a long line of American-made folding roll film cameras from Eastman Kodak. The original Tourist series was introduced in 1948, and included a range of quality levels at different price points.Tourists use 620 film, making eight 2¼×3¼ inch (6×9 cm) exposures. The Tourists are well made and feature a die cast aluminum alloy body, covered in black "Kodadur", a synthetic leather of remarkable durability. Top plates are molded gray plastic that Kodak called "Tenite", which house eye-level telescopic viewfinders on all models. All models also feature a tripod socket and lens door-mounted shutter release. Frame advancement and shutter cocking are not coupled and are completely manual on all models Please note as with any vintage and older camera equipment some parts may need replacement from age and use, such as light seals and batteries. All cameras and optics have some dust due to use and age and a good cleaning is always recommended.
