Description: i663 1940s Avia, AS 1002, Mens 15 Jewels Military Wrist Watch for Restoration A beautiful military watch in need of a little TLC... The watch is in well-worn / used condition, with much of the previous chrome plating missing & various marks around the case. The case needs a good polish & re-plating. The crystal is useable, but does have a crack on the edge by 8 o'clock. Lovely dial & good hands - though the hands to need re-luming. The hands adjust fine. For its age, the watch has a nice, smooth feeling operation. Balance swings freely, the winding mechanism operates correctly, however the mainspring does not want to wind - we presume that either the mainspring is broken or there is an issue with the barrel arbor. Ideal for parts or as a restoration project. See pictures for condition, as the images form part of the item description.
