Description: 1939 Shaw University basketball. The team image is the same exact image that appears in the 1939 Shaw yearbook. The team image doesn’t have a date on it in the year book. The assumption would be the image was taken in 1938 for the 1938-39 Shaw season. The individual player is Casper Hill. He is back row center in the team image. Casper was a member of the class of 1939. Photos are on heavier card stock paper. These were likely produced by the same photographer featured in the yearbook. Likely produced by the school/students. Photos measure about 3 by 5 inch each. Stains, toning, wear and mounting remnants on the backs. Feel free to ask questions. There used to be a free online version of Shaw’s 1939 yearbook.
