Original 1939 twelve month wall calendar (full pad) with a stylized Native American scene illustrated on top card. Illustration artist name (on bottom left) appears to be MERCETA. Scattered highly graphic "Tums for the Tummy" advertising between inner calendar pages and on card back. This was a drugstore pharmacist giveaway / mail premium item (mail info under calendar pad). Glass thermometer is intact and functioning (rarely found unbroken & in working condition). Outstanding visual appeal. Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR with moderate surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate surface creasing/scuffing with scattered edge tears / chips (largest tear being approx. 3/4", mainly seen from card back). Calendar pad is fragile & loosening from oxidized staple but intact / complete. Colors & imagery are still bold, bright & attractive. Overall, we consider this a very displayable example by most standards (see photos). A great early item for the discriminating VINTAGE PHARMACY and/or ADVERTISING CALENDAR / THERMOMETER MEMORABILIA enthusiast.
