Description: This is an original 1938 Erector Set, by A. C. Gilbert Co. of Ct. The case overall is in Excellent condition with very minimal rust (one closing clasp missing). This vintage erector set appears to be complete, although there was two canisters for screws and nuts. That being said, the one canister is quite filled, leading me to believe most, if not all the screws and nuts are there. It is in excellent working condition, with the motor working when I plugged it in. The original instruction manual is included and is in remarkable condition for being 86 years sold. The directions show this set will build a large crane, or a merry go round. The manual shows lots of other projects that can be built for the model "7 1/2". This would be perfect for any child, or collector of vintage erector sets!
