Description: 12" wide by 9 1/2" tall set of 4 (FOUR!) different cardboard pages from a 1938 scrapbook with brochures, photos, booklets, & postcards attached from a 1938 trip to Manistee, Michigan & Mackinac Island–Actually 8 pages if you count them back-to-back! The original owner has neatly typed a 6 1/2-page record of their trip that started on Friday July 1st, 1938 with details about stops and adventures along the way and it has been affixed to the first page-How fun is that? The brochures are titled: "Pere Marquette Railway Auto Ferries Bridging LAke Michigan 1938. Ludington. Milwaukee. Manitowoc" with GREAT old photos inside and a colorful brochure titled: "Iroquois On The Beach (S.A. Poole, Mgr. Mackinac Island, Michigan. Make your vacation home with us" with some great old photos / info / history inside..."Traverse City and the Grand Traverse Bay Region of MIchigan" with lots of great real photo images and TONS of info and history here, there are a couple neat sepia real photo snapshots images of old trains too and GREAT @ 6" wide by 4" tall colorful linen postcards that reveal a WHOLE BUNCH of great color images of sites and landmarks / people from the region inside-All of the items have been securely glued to the pages by the backs and I don't think they could be removed without damaging them, but who knows? Really cool and ready for display! Look at the pictures carefully, you'll be amazed! I can't imagine that many of these throwaway items survived. These are ORIGINAL items, NOT REPRODUCTION items!
