Officially entitled the 'New Peerless Webster Home School and Office Dictionary" with the added line: "Self-Pronouncing Modern-Accurate-Authoritative Atlas- New Census' which is a long way to say it's almost a desk size encyclopedia in addition to being a really expansive dictionary. The table of contents covers 4 pages, see pictures. There is a fun wealth of knowledge in this book which makes it a unique addition to your vintage book collection. Printed in 1937, this one is from the 1938 run. Featuring census numbers for major US cities in the back, colored maps, world time differences, charts, fun facts and more. More than a dictionary, it's truly a reference book. Condition: The content page and poland map is missing half page see photos. The rest of the book is in fair condition for its age. There appears to be no missing pages, but I did not inspect to ensure. See photo for the turned corners of some pages. The spine poor shape, the outer cover is lifting away at the top and bottom of spine, as age tends to loosen the adhesives originally used. The pages are colored in red, which is lightening in some spots. The corners have some wear and rounding from age.
