Description: This is a RARE 1935 GERMAN POSTCARD of SOLINGEN-WIDDERT, a region from North Rhine, Westphalia. In World War II, the Old Town was completely destroyed by a bombing raid by the RAF in 194. 1,800 people died and over 1,500 people were injured. As such, there are few pre-war sites in the centre. Thus, this postcard gives a unique look at the site before WWII. It was posted but the postage stamp is removed. A small part of the cancel mark is present. There is a message and address written on the postcard. The 1935 date is handwritten. This postcard is in Fine condition. There is some discoloration on the front and back (mostly on the back).
