Here's a Shure 5B carbon microphone made in Chicago in the early 1930's. This mic was among the first Shure microphones ever manufactured, and it comes with a later-made desk stand and a later-made metal flag for WCBS radio in New York, which sadly went silent just last month.Condition overall is excellent, and the plating on the mic's element housing still gleams. One of the spring clasps on the underside of the mic is broken, but the housing is otherwise structurally sound, with no issues.
