Description: Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Original 1930's (1935 - 1937) pair of 18" American made Raggedy Ann and Andy cloth dolls by Molly'es. These dolls were only made for a few years in the 1930's before Molly'es Goldman was sued by Johnny Gruelle (author of the Raggedy Ann books) and forced to stop.My aunt was the original owner and passed them on to us for our daughter, who was more interested in horses and never played with them. The dolls show signs of age and wear, but not excessive for dolls of this age.The Molly-'es writing on Ann shows some wear (see picture); Andy doesn't have any writing on his chest, just the heart.Andy's right hand has stains; his left hand has some small holes. His right foot has a tear on the inside. Ann has no holes in her fabric but staining on the face, some slight stains on the hands and feet. Hair and joints of both dolls are in good shape. Face paint on both is in pretty good condition for dolls that are nearly 90 years old. The outfits are in good condition, maybe slightly faded, with functioning buttons on the back. Ann is missing her apron and bloomers. There is a stain on the inside right leg of Andy's pants. There has been no cleaning, repairs or replacements to the best of my knowledge. Please see PICs and let me know if you have any questions.
