Description: An original 1930s tea and coffee tin for the Van Nelle company. Designed by Jacob Jongert (1883-1942). The tin is very much in the modernist style. (De Stijl). An example of this same tin can be found in the MOMA collection. Recently examples have sold for 750 Euro at Christies (in poor condition) and 8,125 dollars at Sothebys (in excellent condition). This example is in good condition with a few dents and some signs of age and use as would be expected. It is totally original. Measurements : 42 x 29 x 37 cm / 16.53" x 11.42" x 14.57"
