Description: For sale is an incredible 1930's Type 1 Original Photo of Notre Dame's famed Four Horsemen. In this awesome photo you see Knute Rockne's Fighting Irish backfield dubbed the "Four Horsemen". The Horsemen were comprised of Jim Crowley (left halfback), Elmer Layden (fullback), Harry Stuhldreher (quarterback) and Don Miller (right halfback). This powerful backfield dominated college football from 1922-1924, only losing two games over the three seasons. During this 1924 season they would go undefeated winning the Rose Bowl for the first time. This backfield was labeled the greatest backfield in Collegiate history. Fast forward to this moment to see them all in their horses at Stuhldreher's ranch to reenact their famous 1924 photo of them in horses in their Fighting Irish Uniforms. It's great to see these guys still close to one another and supporting each other's personal life. Capturing these four guys together in a photo is not easy to find and highly sought after. This photo has been Authenticated and Encapsulated by PSA DNA as a TYPE 1 Original Photo. The size is 7 x 9 inches and is in Good Condition. There is minor foxing around the photo. This is truly an awesome photo of one of the most influential groups of players in college football history. Don't miss out on this incredible find!
