Description: This Arturo Gaston card #5 from the 1927/1928 Amatller Automovilismo set has moderate/heavy wear to the card but no creases. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card. This issue of the Amatller Automovilismo set consists of 23 cards featuring prominent drivers in Europe and the Catalonia region. Amatller is a chocolate company based in Barcelona, Spain, since 1797 and continues to operate today. They would include these cards with the purchase of their chocolate. The front of the card features the driver/riding mechanic while the back of the card has driver information written in Spanish. Arturo Gaston started as a motorcyclist and moved into auto racing. On the back of the card, it is mentioned that he went to America and raced, but I am unable to find information on him beyond winning the Arrabassada Hill Climb on a motorctcle. Any insight or corrections would be appreciated. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
