This books features 61 songs written as sheet music with lyrics preceded by a preface giving the history of the spirituals. Songs include Swing Low, Sweet Chariot, Joshua Fit de Battle Ob Jerico, Somebody's Knockin' at Yo' Do', Roll de Ol' Chariot Along, Father Abraham, and Weary Traveller.Brown hardboards with gilt lettering to the spine. Scuffed to head and tail. Spotting to page edges and foxing to first few pages. All others clean.
