Description: 1876-1926 SPALDING OFFICIAL NATIONAL LEAGUE GOLDEN JUBILEE SOUVENIR BASEBALL SET AND BOX WITH ORIGINAL CELEBRATION DINNER PROGRAM!!The 50th Anniversary of the Senior Circuit was met with appropriate pomp and circumstance, with a spectacular array of baseball legends congregating at Manhattan's Hotel Astor on Groundhog's Day of 1926. The Attendees found boxes awaiting them at their banquet tables. This original box contained a elegant-crushed velvet blue lined cradle ( some discoloration as shown with velvet) that carried 2 Official National League (Heydler, president) spheres. The balls - one Spalding Official National league with Heydler signature but blank and another Spalding Official National League baseball bearing photographic images of all National League Presidents from the league's founding in 1875 until 1926.These baseballs were made specifically for this event ,thus the John A.Heydler stamped signatures on both baseballs located over the Spalding Trademark. The baseballs are in amazing condition considering that they are close to a century old., as seen in photo's. Also included is the original 1876-1926 Golden Jubilee National League Celebration Dinner Program. The program is also in incredible condition for being almost a century old. The program is threaded with a Red, White and blue spine and was signed in attendance by Nat Flencher a New York Telegram sports editor,1926. The program is nearly 100 years old and as with any aged paper there is some foxing on the program. A special memento from one of the most glamorous evenings of pre-war American sports history.
