Description: A 5 1/2" x 3 1/2", b&w REAL PHOTO POST CARD showing a 1922 Model T Roadster Pickup (looks almost new) and two other Model T Touring's, one with a 1922 Kansas license plate #227-392. On the day of July 22, a violent storm hit Augusta, Butler County, KS. It was said that a gale with winds near 70 mph ripped through the city causing mass damages to neighborhoods, trees and stores, also many oil rigs were flattened. It was said by old residents to have been the most severe storm that had ever struck the city. You can see the roofs and chimneys have recently been damaged. The house on the left is missing half its roof. The photographer was probably EMORY BOUGHTON. Personal message written on the back, mailed, cancelled 2 cent stamp, postmarked from AUGUSTA KAN AUG 2? 1922. Mailed to Mrs R. H. Jones Marland, Oklahoma. Crisp and clear, BEAUTIFUL, bumped corners, crease along top border, bottom right corner missing. Any glare or distortion is from my digital camera. Card is in Fair to good Condition, much better than images shown. FREE SHIPPING. I specialize in "Roadside America" and "US States, Cities, & Towns" with identifiable automobiles. If you are looking for postcards or photos with a specific make of automobile let me know, I may be able to help you out, if so I will list them on EBAY. I have been buying and selling on EBAY since 1999, with many satisfied customers, and many are repeat buyers.
