Description: This "Chaplin" cane is a 36" length, 4.5" width handle, and has a surprisingly sturdy hard wood shaft made to look like bamboo. There's no wear or loss of color to the shaft. There is a slight sway. The bi-metal ferrule has contact dings but no bottom wear. Jarman Shoes began life in 1924 (Nashville) and changed names in 1931. This was a promotional item during that time period. The original Jarman label is still in place, including a hilarious "Pennybags" face. Ephemera such as this is rarely seen 100 years later. A piece of advertising history that needs to be saved. Please see my other listings.
