Description: Sheer amber colored silk dress dates to the mid-1920s and features silver leaf and flower beading on the bodice and skirt, with fuller skirt that has a piped waist seam and scalloped hem. The straps of the sleeveless arms have been replaced & made more sturdy by gold lame straps, and although there are tiny scattered pinholes in one or two places and a few loose beads the main issue is the need to strengthen the area around where the side snaps go, and to replace some of the snaps. Likely best for this 100 year old dress to be used for display, study and pattern, it is a charming and elegant dress! Silk chiffon beaded gowns are getting increasingly rare to find even minimally intact due to their fairy-like materials and the relatively hard use (like dancing!) they were often subjected to. Measures 30 bust and waist, open hips and 42 length.I cannot accept returns on these antique items, so please read the description thoroughly, view all photos and ask any questions before purchase, thank you!
