Description: You’re bidding on a WW1 illustrated Postcard showing some German Sailors looking for a place to stay in a battle-damaged village. My limited research indicates German Sailors were rarely used in WW1 ground combat. The battle-damaged village is not identified on the card. However, my translation of the handwritten message indicates that the writer had been near a place called “Killiang.” This divided back card has a personal message and carries a Feldpost postmark dated March 3, 1918. It is very good condition considering its age. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
