With pocket watches some are purchased for precious metal/melt value which represents the extreme low condition of a watch. This watch represents the extreme other end of the spectrum, a watch worthy of receiving the care and maintenance of its current condition and being of noticeable higher quality and value, nearly pristine. Routine cleaning and oiling is needed. After sitting in a display case for many years it is running +5 minutes in 24hrs, I believe this is due to the oil being dry.
