These include a frontispiece and twenty four vivid colour plates. Harrow School is often seen as one of the most prestigious schools in the world, and has educated seven former British prime ministers, including Winston Churchill, as well as writers such as Lord Byron, Anthony Trollope, and Simon Sebag-Montefiore. Edited by George Townsend Warner, a clergyman, schoolmaster, and cricketer who was educated at Harrow School. Undated book, so was dated through Jisc from an identical copy held at the British Library.Illustrated bookplate from Brahan Castle on front pastedown. Collated, complete. CONDITION In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Cloth is generally bright, with some marks to boards and spine. Some fading to gilt on boards. A bit of discolouration to spine. Minimal bumping to the extremities and spine. A bit of age toning to paste downs, as well as some spotting to margins. Illustrated bookplate on front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout, with a bit of age toning to margins. Colour plates are very bright and clean. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
