The map is based on the "The Half-Inch Map of Scotland.", by Gall & Inglis, itself based on the earlier John Cary Map. DATE PRINTED: c.1910.SIZE: The printed area is approximately 49 x 56 cm (19 x 22 inches). Original outline colour. Folded into covers. PROVENANCE: Produced by Gall & Inglis London. The maps have a long history and were first published by John Cary in 1823 in his 'New Map of England'. The plates were subsequently purchased by Cruchley c.1850 and then by Gall & Inglis in 1877. TYPE: Antique lithograph printed on paper, mounted on linen and folded into covers.VERSO: There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is blank. CONDITION: Good. Please check the scan for any blemishes prior to making your purchase.
