Inside is complete including all illustrations and their tissue-guards, the front endpaper is split along the fold with the hinges visible and the rear endpaper is sound and not split, has a previous owner's decorative bookplate of a black cat stood on a pile of books to the front fixed endpaper named for "Shutler", no other writing or graffiti, hinges sound with covers well attached, a little cracking at some of the gutters else binding tight with all pages well attached, corners not turned and pages not torn, variable age-toning to the paper used for the text pages throughout with the illustrations bright as they're on a different type of paper, occasional specks of foxing else mostly clear, a very occasional pale usage/dust mark, not heavily read, the fold-out map is crisp and undamaged, otherwise mostly clean and tidy.
