Description: This listing is for a small lot (6 pieces) of written papers relating to the construction / or improvements to the parsonage at 4th Ave and Spring Street in Avondale, Alabama Dated between 1908 and 1909, Avondale at the time was it's own community, but it was annexed by Birmingham in 1910. There are names on the manuscript letters (3) and 3 receipts from Colvin Manufacturing, Birmingham. It looks like they were installing closets, and installing plumbing. Based on my research, this church might have been on the site of Redeemer Community Church, in the Avondale neighborhood of Birmingham. A nice piece of Birmingham history. ephemera
