Description: 1906 Suspenders & 1907 Latch String - 2 Novelty Antique Postcards. For Collectors. NICE This lot has 2 NOVELTY POSTCARDS that are RARE, UNIQUE and DESIRABLE. These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. These are NOVELTY POSTCARDS because they have items added to them. One has "Suspenders" attached, which the postcard calls "HOLD UPS", and has a comic theme to it. The other postcard has a string attached, and the postcard says it is a "LATCH STRING" to come in, which has a romantic tone. These had to be made by hand and it would take a multi-step process: first to publish the postcard, and then to add the attachments. These are rare and unique antique postcards that will keep their value. Overall, a nice selection of antique novelty postcards! These are collector items because of their age and desirability. The "Hold Ups" postcard was copyrighted 1906. It has a cancel date of 1908. It has an undivided back. It has multiple crease, but it still has value. This postcard is ARTIST SIGNED. The other postcard is copyright 1907 and it is unposted. It was published by The Rose Company, who published many Novelty postcards during that era. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope.
