Description: Offered for sale is a Billy Van postmarked 1906 postcard addressed to Lawrence & Harrington, Empire Theater, Hoboken, New Jersey. Billy B. Van (1870 - 1950) was an entertainer in the early decades of the 1900's in Minstrel Shows, Vaudeville and Burlesque. The Empire theater was active from 1902 - 1927 when the name was changed to the Rialto. The card is clipped on one corner but has excellent age patina !
