He appeared with success in Italian and Spanish opera houses. Valls arrived in Italy at the end of 1903 to substitute for Carlo Cartica in ‘’La forza del destino’’ at the Teatro Regio in Parma as a partner of the famous Eugenia Burzio. In 1906 he sang at the same theatre in the premiere of the opera ‘’Siberia’’ of Giordano. Since 1914 he started to appear on the opera stages as baritone.
