Haggard was an extremely prolific writer, producing over fifty novels, three short story collections and a number of non-fiction works during his lifetime, the majority of which were set in far-off locations, such as Africa. 'Lysbeth: A Tale of the Dutch' is a historical novel set in the Netherlands during the era of William the Silent. Illustrated with twenty-six plates by George Percy Jacomb Hood. Collated, complete. CONDITION In a quarter calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, very good, with slight rubbing to the extremities and the occasional mark. A little fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with the odd spot, mainly to the first and last pages.
