Very vintage, farm house look.Size - 67 in x 71 in Blocks 18"x20"Identification of this pattern can be attributed to Mountain Mist, a division of the Stearns & Foster CO. The company began in the 1840's & sold quilt batting. It also offered mail-order quilt patterns. Country Lanes is an Unequal Nine Patch pattern. Each block has 4 sections w/4 patches each, separated by long rectangular central strips. Wide borders & separation bars between each block.Fabric - everyday cotton fabric from an American household during the Edwardian Era. Chambray, gingham, shirting fabric, some feedsack fabric.Colors - burgundy, cream, beige, shades of blue, olive green, light brown. Many solid colors - some gingham, plaids & stripes.Binding - navy calico w/a tiny print of cream leaves & dots.Batting - thinBacking - dark beigeQuilting - hand-quilted w/9 stitches per inch. Borders have rows of quilting. The rest of the quilt was quilted w/huge scallops & curves.Condition - overall good. 2 blocks have some light, small spots. A few fades on burgundy fabric.
