ADELHEIM RAFAIL LVOVYCH (RAFAIL-FRIEDRICH LUDVIGOVICH ADELHEIM) 1861, Moscow – August 17, 1938, Moscow Russian theater actor. Graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, piano class. He received his theatrical education in Austria, where in 1888 he studied at the dramatic arts department of the Vienna Conservatory. After graduating from the conservatory, he worked in various European theaters. He made his debut on the Russian stage in 1894 at the Oryol Theater (Othello, Franz Moor, Lear). Returning to Russia, from 1895 for 40 years he worked mainly together with his brother Robert. The theatrical activity of the Adelgeim brothers is connected mainly with the theaters of the Russian provinces, where, playing the tragic repertoire of the “high classics,” they raised the stage and audience culture. Rafail Adelgeim, without repeating his brother, went to create a tragic image through characterization. To mark the 10th anniversary of the brothers’ joint creative activity in 1905, an album was published in St. Petersburg with photographs of them in various roles. In the first post-revolutionary years, the Adelheim brothers, retaining their tragic repertoire, performed in workers' clubs and factories. In 1918, they worked in the First Front-line Troupe, which served the troops of the Red Army. The Adelheim brothers belong to the leading tragedians of the Russian theater of the late 19th century. - early 20th centuryTHEATER WORKSIago - "Othello", W. Shakespeare,King Lear - "King Lear", W.
