Description: ULTRA RARE, WITH NO AUTHOR, PUBLISHER, OR COPYRIGHT ATTRIBUTION. I did find what looks to be another copy of the same item listed on Abebooks. It has the same title, the same dimensions, the same number of pages and descriptions, and the brief description of the nude depictions identifies nudes seen in this copy. They did identify the publisher as, "L Fonbelle Paris". To mirror their description: "This selection of late 19th century (?) orientalist and classical images echo the great masters' paintings of naked women sleeping, bathing and being bought as slaves in a bazaar." I didn't provide a listing photo of the slave market, but it is there and attributed to "E. Lanchen" (who I can't identify online). Other artists include Faure, E. Benner, R.Lejune, Mari Parrier, and others. The book measures 10.5" by 13.5". I believe the entire book, including covers and all pages, have been laminated. That's what it feels like. The lamination is very well done; it stops right at the page edges. It has 16 pages (8 leaves), and with 2 images per page, there are 32 images there.
