Fair) The map is rectangular. Slight shape distortion in the photo was caused by the camera. The map was original folded into 4 x 6 inches travel guide, resulting in several hard folds/creases and a few 'misfolds' (see last photo) I carefully and neatly mounted (pasted) the map on a piece of heavy-duty, 2-layer corrugated cardboard (see photo of the corner) Cardboard dimensions : 15 x 16 inches (38 x 41 cm). The 'border' around the map is appr. 3/8" or 1 cm. Notes: Green color around the map in the photo is a contrasting background on which the map was photographed.
