Published by Selmar Hess. Each volume hardcover measuring 11-7/8” tall by 9-1/4” wide. 68 photogravures with tissue guards (incl. frontis.), 126 wood-engravings and typogravures plus many text illustrations. Covers in very good to excellent condition showing small amounts of wear to the corners and tops and bottoms of the spine covers. Covers are very clean with one exception, volume 6, which has spotting to the front cover of unknown origin (I attached a photo of that cover for full disclosure). Bindings of each volume are very strong and pages are very clean and complete with all tissue guards intact (guards do show light staining from the accompanying photogravure).
