Description: 1890'S P.L.B. & G. CO. 'BABY FACE' CLEAR SATIN KEROSENE OIL GWTW OR PARLOR LAMP Circa 1890's Pittsburgh Lamp Brass & Glass Co. clear satin glass embossed patterned kerosene oil parlor lamp, the 'Baby Face'. Please reference Gibson's '19th Century Patterned Art Glass Chamber Lamps' for more information on this Victorian lighting company. Clear satin finish glass, embossed patterned with four baby faces in scrolling cameos all around the body of the shade and base. Brass plated fancy embossed foot, all brass fittings and font. Large impressive lamp at approximately 25" tall overall to the top of the shade. The lamp was wired at some point with a socket in the burner, the font is not drilled, the wire runs through the central draft tube. There is a chip on the top of the shade, please note the last photo; under the brass shade protector. Beautiful period Victorian embossed art glass parlor lamp to add to your collection.
